Believing that Jesus calls all people into the Church, CrossWalk United Church intentionally professes to be an open congregation welcoming, celebrating, and affirming all people regardless of race, class, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or any other division conceived of by the human mind, into the full life and ministry of the church.

CrossWalk United Church was established as a haven for committed Christians who believe that God accepts all people into the Church. As a congregation, we at CUC believe that God calls us into the church regardless of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity. All are welcome to fully participate in the life and ministry of CrossWalk United Church.

We at CrossWalk United Church have chosen to affiliate with the United Church of Christ (www.ucc.org). A merger of several different Christian traditions, the UCC teaches a radically inclusive Gospel. In addition, we in the UCC believe that God calls us to action. That action is not merely preaching the Gospel to all the world, but is also working for justice and peace for all people; injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. And we of the UCC believe that the Gospel of Jesus the Christ calls us to action. Feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, attending to the sick, and visiting those imprisoned is Gospel action.

And we at CrossWalk United Church fully believe that God is still speaking. God's self-revelation has not ended. God continually reveals more truth and light from scripture. At CUC, we do our best not to limit God's work in the world, but do our best to participate with God as God works in the world.
